Ryan Murray
MPT, BHK, CSCS, Sport Dip, FCAMPT, IMS
Currently working at East Van Sport and Rehab Clinic, Ryan is also a physiotherapist for the Canadian National Halfpipe team and the Vancouver Warriors Lacrosse team. He knows what it takes to prepare an athlete for their sport demands and reduce the risk of injury.
Ryan received his Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia in 2007 and his Bachelor of Human Kinetics (Exercise Science) in 2004. His eclectic approach utilizes manual therapy, dry needling (IMS), education and exercise to restore mobility and optimize movement. Ryan works towards bridging the gap from a clinic rehab to return to sport performance.
He has a specific interest in end stage hip and knee rehabilitation as well as return to sport training. He continues to work closely with local sport medicine and orthopaedic surgeons to developed post-operative knee and hip rehabilitation protocols.
Ryan believes in establishing a strong sense of community. He enjoys an active lifestyle and has volunteered with many local teams and community events throughout the years. An avid cyclist and triathlete, Ryan has participated in the Whistler GranFondo and multiple Triathlons.
